Two people whose appeal I have never understood in terms of looks (talent is undeniable)

Zayn and Johnny Depp. I mean sure in some pics especially the edits, can see it but I often wonder whether I am seeing a different person as the rest of the world. What is so unremarkable about these peeps? And they are small framed short skulled small mouth big eyes ethnic 5'8 as well, aka the average PSL population. But they get compared to legit top MMs, like wtf:

I mean, this is fairly representative (not a good, not bad, zero peacock maxxing pic) of what they looked in their respective primes. Obviously, they don't look bad but if you sift through the yearbook pic in any wealthy ethnic (or even multicultural) school/ uni, every third kid is gonna look something like this and no one would care.

The best thing about their looks is good facial development, but that doesn't make a chad/ stacy, that makes a healthy human being. The rest of their features and phenotype are very normal.
