Not only was his prediction false, since the cast was great, but even the numbers raped him in his butt.

Troy baker is legendary tier.

Also wish they stuck more closely to the game script.

The series doesn't have the emotional connection and impact the game had. They also changed Joel's demeanour to be more passive and submissive. Just doesn't feel like the right people.

I actually just watched the last of us one night where they used the original actors and its perfect. It's a shame they didn't use this.

There was no lesbo activity or even a hint in the first game though, and most players didn't play dlc. I didn't even know that she was a lesbo until part 2 came out.

This was a blunder from the developers' side. If they kept her sexuality either vague (like with Lara Croft) or made her straight she would've appealed a lot more to the average player (who is a straight male)

It's true, I was wrong. I watched the first episode and it isn't nearly as bad as I thought. Audiences seem to love it. The Joel actor is actually pretty alright looking for the role, Ellie is the one who really bothers me. She is ugly and looks much younger than Ellie from the games. It makes for a very different dynamic, but I guess it still works.

But I gotta say despite the ratings, I've been seeing a bunch of tiktok edits making fun of the way she looks and everyone seems to agree they could've casted her better.
