btw do you think fights contribute to their bonemass? a lot of fighters have high zygos with lateral projection

The fighters that you hear of, made it that far partly due to their genetic advantages (higher PSL features)
So since most the top fighters got projected zygos, doesn't necessarily mean every fighter who puts in the effort would have zygos with similar projection
I don't think we can draw any conclusion from it...

But I would say, it's a surprisingly high number of individuals who make it that far into the ranks who also have those highset projected zygos. So it's either a very important advantage that is genetic and only results in those who have it go through, or the physical trauma from training the sport significantly contributes to it so that the majority of people who put in the effort get projection

I think the latter definitely plays a big part.
Some fighters like Khabib also have more projected zygos relative to their maxilla. But part of that also might be genetic, as Khabib's father also had something similar:

It's a mix of both reasons I mentioned (genetic + environmental), but leans towards the environmental IMO (if you start at a young age).
