Petr Yan is simply a better fighter, has more tools etc. Merab became champ through straight judo to gaining dominant grappling positions to stall time and win points and he isn’t a threat in jiu jitsu and got outskilled in the second fight. He needs to fire his coach for not developing him enough

I agree on the Topuria point but since I’m Georgian I have to disagree with the Merab one

but to be fair even if I wasn’t, he did cut weight like 4 times in a year, you never know and it’s still 1-1, yan went to 29-28 decision with Marcus McGhee and this is 5 rounds
