The most attractive people are, on average, about one standard deviation or a bit less below average intelligence, according to quite a few studies. I could be mistaken but I have not seen any data that shoes that intelligence and attractiveness go hand in hand

I just mean that if only attractive people are having kids then we would be having kids with not the greatest intelligence or work ethic

Exactly. What I mean is, without intelligent hard working people, many things will not function well. Everything we use, our phones, computers, cars, requires so many incredibly intelligent and hard working people to keep it functioning. Obviously the socially desirable thing is to be attractive, and that will get you more than intelligence or hard work. But there always has to be someone to design and fix the machines we use, to maintain the roads we drive on and servers that store our data. Even with automation, someone has to design and fix those automated machines
Gallons of new more productive jobs are being created, tbh. Also it's a good thing too, as long as you(society) doesn't cuck out to the rich(they do) as it allows to elevate the living standards of everyone(rip tbh). Also lots of new creative avenues are opening up, which is what the human essence is all about, sort of.
