Embryos are implanted by IVF. In the UK, it costs between £9000 and £18,000 per cycle and there is only a 40% chance that the embryo will successfully implant into the endometrium.
That’s just before you even consider getting your kid’s genome edited.

The initial cost is going to be astronomical and reserved for people with generational wealth but it should still be done for the sake of progress.
