Churchill mortgaged out the entire British Empire to Roosevelt during WW2, gave away hundreds of tones of gold reserves, nuclear weapons research, territories for obsolete WW1 boats.

Even the USSR had its land lease debts forgiven in the 70s while the British were left paying back until the 2000s.

One of the worst leaders in history. Should be used as a case study for today’s global powers.

It’s ironic how much one of the chief architects of British collapse is venerated in the country today.

Churchill near his death actually admits as much:

To be fair, my part of UK is a bit more like the vision of England foreigners tend to have. My specific county was the inspiration for the Shire in Tolkien's works.

I'm also a short drive from many of the medieval castles that Japanese tourists love.

There aren't really any ethnics here and people are generally polite and well spoken. The countryside is clean and picturesque.

Ethnics are mainly in London, Birmingham, and areas surrounding airports.

I'm from up north and there are far less ethnics where I live. Economically things are much cheaper in regards to the cost of living, but there is so much underdevelopment and no investment in the infrastructure. My hometown has not changed in the last 25 years. But if you look up parts of London they have completely transformed.

My hometown still mogs second and third world countries. But these are not places where people immigrate to. There are hardly any jobs. You still have chavs. It's basically a wasteland with some decent views in the countryside.
