Which is why I said it would never be an existential war. More like ww1 where they both fight over something pointless just to gain superiority. That or China funds another country that would fight the USA.

Regardless my point was hypothetical, IF the US fought a drone armed opponent they would get fucked as their military currently stands.

nah, perhaps there would be some proxy war at best but openly they will never fight. in ww1 if someone had nukes they would use it lol.
and china is not expansionist in territorial way, it was never their agenda in their entire history, they literally see their lands as peak of civilization and rest are barbarians who don't even deserve to be conquered. it expands in economy not in territory so i don't see them even conquering taiwan let alone fighting a country with nukes
