Hello friends, today I decided to make a guide to curing eczema. I haven’t seen a lot of people talk about this issue on the forum so I decided to talk about my experience and method of curing eczema.
For starters, eczema isn’t a skin issue.
This may come as a surprise to some people but eczema isn’t comparable to acne and other skin conditions, it's actually a sign of immune system issues that cause inflammation in the skin. A lot of dermatologists don’t address this fact, instead they give you a steroid cream (such as hydrocortisone) to lather onto yourself. Why? Because they would rather give you a quick temporary fix then cure your issues.
FIX #1 DIET
When I was suffering with extreme facial eczema, I was very fat and unhealthy. I would consume ultra-processed foods often and stay inside a lot. When I started researching how to lose weight, I decided to do an animal based diet with a light-medium deficit. I was not aware of the impact that diet had on eczema itself. Around 3 months into avoiding processed foods and eating animal based, my eczema had faded about 70%.
“Why does diet help eczema so much?”
Well for one, processed foods cause inflammation. By cutting out processed slop and prioritizing healthy foods, the inflammation causing your eczema will subside. Also, nutrient dense foods that contain nutrients such as protein, zinc, and vitamin A help restore the skin barrier.
“Why did diet not fully cure your eczema?”
I truly believe if I stuck to a healthy animal based diet my eczema would have been fully healed. However, the diet I was on wasn't sustainable. Not because of the diet itself but because of the price. Blame the Jews. But this brings me on to my next fix.
FIX #2 Medical intervention.
I previously mentioned that dermatologists consistently recommend you use dog shit ointments and creams, but I'm going to tell you what to ask for and how to ask for it.
The first medication I'm going to mention is called Dupixent.
“What is dupixent?”
Dupixent is a biologic injectable medication used to treat eczema, asthma, and a bunch of other bullshit illnesses I doubt you guys have. Unlike topical steroids, dupixent actually addresses the cause of the eczema itself which is the immune system.
“What should I expect with dupixent?”
You should expect it to take a while to clear your skin up, and you probably won’t see insane progress until the 2nd or so injection. I personally saw improvement in my 1st month but not everybody is as lucky.
“How do I request Dupixent and other meds?”
Unfortunately Dupixent isn’t always prescribed right away. You will most likely have to jump through hoops of trial and error with other bullshit meds until you have the opportunity to get it. But when all of that is over you can ask by saying, "Recently I have been researching online and have seen a medication by the name of Dupixent. I really like what I see online about it and would like to try it.” That should do it. Sometimes derms can be a little stingy so just keep applying pressure.
“How do I deal with the pain?”
When you get your first injection, it will be in the dermatologist's office. They won’t let the medication sit, they won’t numb you, they will just stick that shit in you RAW. And it will probably hurt. I consider myself to have a good pain tolerance but it really stung. When the medicine is delivered to your house, it's a lot easier to combat the pain. I personally leave it out for the 2 weeks leading up to my injection, I also have the syringe opposed to the auto injector because I have experience pinning.
Next medication: Rinvoq
“What is Rinvoq?”
Rinvoq is an oral medication that is used to treat moderate to severe eczema. It might be better for the average person because I believe orals are easier than injections. Rinvoq works by blocking pathways in immune cells called JAK pathways. These are the pathways responsible for inflammation. Rinvoq is usually a last ditch effort to fix eczema, if somebody didn’t see progress with Dupixent they may be prescribed Rinvoq.
Other important info:
While dealing with eczema, it's important to combat allergens. For example, me and my family have 2 cats and 4 dogs. When they would get near me or jump on me, I would have an allergic reaction. And sure enough, my eczema would become blotchy and disgusting.
“How do I combat allergens?”
This is actually the easiest part of this guide. The first step to combatting allergens is minimizing your exposure to them. In my case it was animals so it was hard. I stopped letting my dog and cat sleep with me, I stopped letting them lay on my clothes, I pretty much segregated them from places I would be for a very long time. I also take 20mg of cetrizine HCI every morning. Another big one is not touching your face. I know for ND niggas such as myself its very hard, but with encouragement from family and friends I have mostly stopped.
