Just received LW101 device. I read through everything I could and have some questions still. I don't want to bump a bunch of UC threads all at once so I'll @ people in here.

- How hard are you guys pushing? I assume lightly touch is good enough. Are the people who are hurting their ears pushing too hard?
- How much does cardboard help? Does it just mute the sound or block off completely? ChatGPT says ultrasound should pass through it easily. Rubber/foam less so, so that's what I plan to use. Would this be good areas to mask off:

- Does it make any sound if you are doing it right? I guess it sounds obvious when it hits bone, but when it's near bone not sure.
- How exactly does it feel when you are using it right?
- Any redness afterwards?

@cabronero are these similar to the ultrasonic and ems devices you use? Worth it vs going to the sauna a bunch?

After assessing the different machine intensity levels I started by marking my face with a blue marker on the regions where I’d want to use the machine then followed with a thick layer of ultrasound gel.
- Are the dots where you are aiming the center of the device or are you keeping the entire device inside those points? I have read that more of the energy is focused in the center. But the device is so big. Are you just using the corner of the device to hit the malar pad?

the markings around my face is the frame I try to stay within its mearly a guide its better to go off of how loud the machine gets however i mark out where my fat lies so their is no bone tissue in that area, and in regards to our question i keep 50% off the machine within the dots because as you mention the cavitation is pin pointed to a minor circle on the head of the machine.

I want to do ts too in the future but i was thinkung dont u only want to hit ur cheeks? Vus u dont want to hit ur chin or ur cheek bones and posibly ur ramus area because you want to keep them as big as possible most of the time or ur only really hitting ur cheeks and upper upper neck?

Btw i only think the first few tags work

Yea for sure. In the picture I posted, the blue part is where I'm thinking to block off.

wtf is that

no, thats just how ultrasound works, it passes through tissue and eardrums.
How exactly does it feel when you are using it right?
for me its stingy and painful after a while of using it on the same spot.
Any redness afterwards?
yeah a lot. even a acne starts to form, as it rapes my skin. this only happens when i push my cheeks out with air when i do that ultrasound doesn't reach my eardrums as much and its basically not loud

I didn't have any results btw, maybe need more sessions

So much risk for little reward in my professional opinion. Aqualyx is king + many threads here of users doing it :Chadge:

Did they redness last hours, or days? Do much lymph drainage after?

Also is the swelling super noticeable? Or just look like you drank and had a bunch of cheeseburgers the night before?

Hard for me to block off multiple days in a row without seeing many people I know

I suffer from tinnitus already, but I can do max power sessions now 10mins long, no hearing damage or tinnitus increase, I use my fingers to push out the cheeks as far as possible from my face and just blast the uc through the skin, i can feel it in my fingers through the skin, I dont get any redness/swelling, since my hearing is fine after building up to max strength imma just keep going 1x per week using this technique, wouldnt advice going above the cheekbone like in ur pic, stay below that always, i dont use any taping off technique no need for me

It flares up my current tinnitus a little, but I feel like it will go back down soon. Pretty similar to if I go to a club or festival. Don't think it will be a big deal. Only puffed out my cheeks, didn't end up taping.

I noticed there's 3 possible things it can react. 1) it vibrates, my skin feels the tingle so know it is working, but there's like barely any sound. 2) medium loud, probably near bone but not too bad. and then 3) hit the bone, and it's like a power drill next to my ears.

Power at 2 was kind of intense. Stings a little, what's it like at higher powers?

With the right placement the sound on max level is lower than it was when I started out with no experience (or im becoming deaf lol) and for the skin u just feel some vibrations, theres no pain whatsoever, afterwards the skin is a little sensitive for about a few hours, GL

Interesting. It feels like a little burn each time it zaps me. And afterwards it was like a very minor sunburn. I guess it could just be the vibrations and I'm just jumpy since it was my first time.

not trying to promote my guide but literally EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW is in there. again i don't want to seem like im promoting but I would say it's a good place to look for instructions and side effects with descriptions. If you don't know how the process works on a microscopic level, i'd check it out. If you don't want to do that I'd atleast look it up. Better to understand something fully if you want to commit.

that's a normal side effect. The vibrations of the facial probe shouldn't be above 80kHz, a safe range to stay in would be 40kHz - 80kHz.
Redness and inflammation are very normal.

I'm assuming you are using conductive ultrasound gel?? Very important to prevent fibrosis by reducing inflammation. Hope this helped.

Yea I'm using gel. I now think it's probably because I burned myself a little from RF or maybe starting Retin A, skin was peeling a little so it was extra sensitive. The RF head gets pretty damn hot.

Yea burned myself a lil with rf head, gotta keep reapplying gel while using it and pausing the session while both it and ur skin cools it seems
