Unban veilrift

Yesterday I found out my boy @veilrift got banned. I didnt know why until @gookcelriceR explained in a comment that it was probably because hes suspected of being someones alt. Veilrift was briefly online and gookcelriceR asked him for his Discord name. Later gookcelriceR showed me some screenshots of a Discord chat where veilrift said hes a former user who deleted his account almost a year ago. Specifically, sometime in August 2024. So he deleted his old account properly and created a new one (veilrift) on June 3. Thats completely fine according to the rules.

What he says actually makes sense.

In this thread https://looksmax.org/threads/oops-w...hment-uploads-please-try-again-later.1492209/ hes talking about a problem that clearly didnt exist during his earlier time on the forum. So it supports his claim that hes a former user who has been gone for a while.

Another reason the admins might be using is that he mentioned or tagged several users in his comments. But thats not solid proof.
a) He could have become familiar with users while lurking
b) Some of those users might have already been active back when he was still around
c) The Baza bluds are usually friendly to new users and interact with them pretty quickly

Lots of good users have been banned recently. Its time to put an end to your madness, niggas. Free my guy.

I asked in PMs where his appeal was, he talked about how they DNR and he added that his ban reason said "alt" but not specifically of who

If they can ensure they have proofs. But it seems like they just banned him out of intuition.

He was banned by an Admin, so that normally means lower level staff (Moderators like me) are not able to assist in any meaningful manner. As in I can't/won't unban him. Just clarifying counting I was mentioned.

Though it should be noted that Admins+ have access to information that users/Mods/etc don't have. While it normally feels like a lot of the bans are random, it normally isn't. Another thing, if his appeals are being denied it normally (not always) means they weren't well written and/or weren't an actual attempt to make an appeal request. They've approved a lot threads that spoke very negatively about the site and/or staff because they well written and/or was an actual attempt to make an argument for an appeal.

I don't know about this user in particular or their specific situation, though.

I should talk to him and ask him to make another appeal, I'm thinking he made an appeal with little text waiting for the mods to engage first and then give explanations.
