Fat graft needs multiple attempts because they will underfill first time and maybe even second. Then you won't even know final result for several months since the fat dies off. Finally, the fat might end up lumpy and deflated depending on surgeon technique plus if you gain weight the fat will also puff up and you will look stupid.
Filler lasts 1 year, works first time and usually has good result so long as injector is good. Blunt tip canola reduces odds of bruising and correct filler selection ensure smooth placement of filler throughout the tear trough. Fat lasts 4-5 years but costs 5-6k for 2 procedures. Filler costs maybe 700-800 from plastic surgeon for 1 syringe and lasts a year. Ends up being similar pricing just needs to be repeated more often.
