Jaw surgery will give you a lot more aesthetic result than extractions. Extractions have always been controversial in the orthodontics community because of the negative impact it can have on your face.

It's ogre, i'm mexican and i gain the minimum wage, i will never be able to pay for a surgery.
Can you talk about the nagative side effects that extractions has on the face?

Yeah, that's rough, sorry about that.
Teeth are important to your facial structure. Your tooth roots extend way farther into your face than you might think. So when you get a tooth extracted, your jaw adapts to the change through a process known as residual ridge recession. This can lead to asymmetry, and that only worsens with time.

Extraction of teeth will create bone loss and therefore there will be bone resorption. In other words, your jaw bones will get smaller and your palate narrower which will cause problems tbh (you may even get sleep apnea because the airway might get smaller).
Btw, how could teeth extraction help your case ? I'm genuinely intrigued

I'm guessing that whoever recommended the extraction believes that removing the tooth will reduce overcrowding and allow the jaw to move to a more natural position

Thanks a lot for the answer, i will read about residual ridge recession.

I think he wants to do this
I asked if he can push my maxilla foward and he say yes, i used to lurk loo.ki.sm around 2017 and they used to say that maxilla is everything

Nah bro, i think he is going to make me wear a palete expander and then a device that is used before sleep to avoid the palete becoming narrower.

Also, i apologies for my english, is what i have learned lurking 4chan and other forums, i know is pretty bad.
If i recall well, Mike Mew's father got teeth extraction and he says thats the reason his face looks melted. But i have read a lot that Mike Mew is a scam so i don't know what to believe.

For the tooth extraction, I can tell you that’s quite true. When I was younger I had a premolar extraction because I would always bite my tongue with that one tooth and that shit irritated me. Months after I got my left premolar extracted, the left side of my face started to melt and my jaw became weirder shaped (low gonial angle but there was zero ramus). I’m not saying this will happen 100% chance to you but there’s still some aesthetically risk to it.

Proper oral posture is just that; posture. It'll probably be just as impactful as proper body posture. Mewing is not gonna make you a chad.

Okey, so the development of your jaw was already done, you are telling me that your jaw changed that drastically? D: you are scaring me bro

Nah bro I was like 12 when I had the extraction, so my jaw was still developing, but my left part of my face got droopier on one side when I was growing. It might have been other factors, but it all started a few months after the extraction. If your jaw is fully developed, I guess there might be no real complication but we never know. Talk about bone loss after extraction with a professional/actual doctor or orthodontist , my experience is just an anecdote.

In my case the 2 premolars were removed from the top, without touching the jaw. Does this negatively affect my face in any way?

Idk my case was made on the lower jaw. But there's good chance that your palate got narrower after your extractions and that you may have experienced airway problems. One should always aim to get palate expansion to make sure nothing goes wrong
