What causes under eye bags is it lack of bone support, collagen loss, or subcutaneous fat?

Is there anything that can be done about it? Or prevent more of it from happening?

Lack of bone support mostly yeah, undereye fatpads are not ideal. Bonesupport is the best. To fix it, get implants under your eyes. And yeah the skin has to be good for it to look better but water is wet. Some people say sleeping on your back but it seems to be cope tbh

Will retin-a hurt or help? I cant get an answer on that

Undereye fat pads are a meme/cope. Undereye hollowness is caused a lack of bone in 99% of cases. Fillers or infraorbital rim implants will fix this by adding mass to the area

Why do they get worse with age?

Because the bone underneath the eyes recedes as you get older. Taking vitamin K2 supplements every day will help reduce bone loss as you age

Hurt for fatpads, help for collagen. So it depends on your current situation of bone/fat support

It's hard to judge without a photo, but under-eye bags can be typically be attributed to two main reasons - a collapsing of the oculi fat pad, which causes a hollow; or a herniation of the fat pad in conjunction with skin laxity and a loss of collagen.

If an eye-bag is present due to these reasons, then you should consider non-surgical and surgical treatment options.

An under-eye hollow can be treated with hyaluronic acid or fat to restore lost volume in this area.

If your eye bags are present due to a herniation of the ocular fat pad, then you can either treat this area with hyaluronic acid to help camouflage it, or you can have it removed with a lower blepharoplasty procedure.
