My asymmetrical eyes are one of my biggest flaws. A surgeon told me inserting an implant would be an option to elevate the currently lower set eye. Is this all I can hope for because other surgeries are too extreme? I was hoping to reconstruct the underlying bones. Are there even doctors who do this anywhere? Another problem is that I actually prefer the lower set eye but I never read about lowering a higher set eye and thats obviously impossible with an implant anyway. Basically I now have the option to improve my asymmetry with a combination of implant + eyelid surgery. Should I just go for it?

orbital implants can save your eyes

I have it too boyo. Not only my left eye is slightly lower, it also has different canthal tilt.If the surgeon recommended only an implant after seeing your ct it means the asymmetry is probably minor. I've read sometime ago a taban's post where he said that in some cases it's possible to lower the higher eye with orbital decompression instead of an orbital implant below the lower one. Reconstructing the bones has a higher risk and it's way more expensive than a simple implant and gl finding someone who's gonna do it.

I wouldnt say its minor. 1 probably 2 mm is a lot its very noticeable. if you see it once you will keep noticing it immediately every time you see it. I just dislike implants. I read about decompression but some say its quite risky idk

1-2mm is minor . Many people have it and it`s unnoticeable in motion. An asymmetry that small should be easily fixable by only an implant from what i`ve read.

I have had luck correcting asymmetry by chewing on lower side
