Depends, palate expander would just widen palate but not necessarily bimaxillary width and your orbicularis oris muscles, older people typically have wider mouths due to a loss of collagen which makes the area droopier and thus wider

O'Pry also had this, his mouth was pretty narrow at 17 but later in his 20's it became much wider
