The flatter your mandibular plane angle is, the less you need to tilt back your head to expose your submental area.
IMO it looks sexy when a woman tilts her head back and her chin is in line with her gonions or you can see her submental area. I guess it’s because women’s necks are seductive zones.
A trait of a downgrown face is, if you look in the mirror and tilt your head as far back as you can while still being able to see yourself, your chin is still lower than your gonions.
Michael Phelps probably can’t see his own submental area in a mirror.

Look how the 2nd woman needs to tilt her head that far up just to get her jawline at the same angle as the 1st woman’s as she’s facing straight forwards.
