Real talk for the Brahmacharis
I started SR in October 2024, and started working a couple of weeks later. For most of that time it was giga easy, with pretty much no sexual thoughts for a large part of it. Even went a few months with no erections to remember. Truly monkmaxxed. I’ve done around a year of SR before, but this time felt different. True serenity.
A few weeks ago I started mentally edging a bit. But since losing my job I’ve been mentally edging far more than at any other point, due to:
1. Being at home alone and not being around/talking to others. But it’s only been two weekdays I’ve been unemployed, so this isn’t the main reason.
2. The people at work only having known me on retention. I feel more confident, outgoing, and less perverted on SR, so didn’t want to goon and then change character, and feel ashamed.
3. Starting work felt like a new chapter. The last time I gooned was when I was NEET, and I stopped around the time I got a job. Now I’ve lost that job, it’s the first time I’m back in the NEET situation I was in when I last gooned.
This morning’s extreme urges and mental edging have passed. But it’s crazy. It’s the first time I’ve had these urges since I began. I naïvely thought I was past this state of mind. This just shows that streaks mean nothing. You shouldn’t chase a streak of a month, a year, or whatever. And don’t think you’ll always be monkmaxxed and never have urges after a while. When your life circumstances change, or you’re spending more time alone, inside or whatever, you may be tested.
Anyway, as always, SR and c no sexual thoughts truly is law. But if you do wank or goon (which I have not), don’t feel disappointed or angry about losing a streak, but instead see how it affects your mindset, focus, motivation etc, and just get back on the retention grind. Don’t be like “I already did it once, I may as well just keep doing it occasionally”.
