I have an appointment with Dr Taban in 3 weeks my upper eyelids are just like the pic below where one is a bit more hooded and asymmetrical.

The two main options are filler or fat transfer. Most Drs (including Taban) says fat is more unpredictable than filler and some fat can die and it might require future touchups to then transfer more fat and remove the dead fat. It's also more expensive.

Fillers are more predictable plus have the benefit of being able to dissolve if need be, they are less expensive and Dr's claim that filler in this area of the face lasts longer than filler put elsewhere, also is not able to move anywhere else in the face compared to injecting filler, say, in the midface.

Does anyone here have experience with fillers or fat transfer to the upper eyelid? Any serious thoughts appreciated

If implants aren't off the table then get a CBCT scan before you proceed with anything. I have the exact same thing as the photo, it's because of deficiency in the supraorbital rim. Has to do with lack of mass in the medial part of the supraorbital rim.

i will ask Taban for a full analysis and get whatever he wants. Mine is definitely from uneven fat in the upper eyelid though I know that for a fact based on something else a Dr told me. So filler or fat transfer is my best solution probably. I will update when I see Taban (maybe I am wrong)

Get a scan, will cost you like $250. There are free programs to view your scans in 3D. This way you can analyze any skeletal asymmetries before you do anything you might regret.

It may be due to uneven sized eyeball, one smaller than the other, as even or quasi-even eyes are a rarity

yeah definitely my orbits are not placed at the same height in my skull. One is lower than the other. I also think one eyeball is further pushed back in my skull than the other. I have so much asymmetry going on with my orbits. I will see what Taban says

I think its due to one side of the maxilla being lower. Or perhaps it may be related to asymetrical bite force and as a result one cheekbone and undereye support being lower than the other. this is what I have and confirmed in a CT scan.

Fat grafting.

my surgeon refused to perform a filler on my uneven too exposed eyelid. Therefor I treated my supraorbital bone with bone smashing and a permanent swelling fixed my uneven eyelid exposure

JFL at paying 12k for custom supraorbital implants when you can get a better result with filler, fat grafting or even bone smashing

Your eyes look as if one was slightly deeper in your skull than the other :feelswhat:

Have you considered an orbital box osteotomy?

@Amnesia @Oberyn
Are you guys used to blink with one of your eye more than the other?
I also have the same issue. I used to blink with my left eye alone or with both, couldnt blink alone with right one.
To test that just try it, you will blink way too smoother with eye that you used to blink with.

My right lower eyelid is also more dropier than my left lower eyelid.
@Amnesia Your more hooded eye has a more robuts lower eyelid too.
It has a better medial canthus too, i too have a better medial canthus with my more hooded eye. This shit is clearly not about the bones but muscles.
If a thing like that i wrote above happened to you too its probably the orbicularis muscle that causes the asymetry.

I started to train my right orbicularis to fix that. I hope it works because it will probably yield better results than surgeries if it works because it will also fix the lower eyelid asymetry and medial canthus.(and i %99 believe it will work)

To test that just try it, you will blink way to easily with the eye that you used to blink with. when you try to blink with the one that you are not used to it will make you feel like you are forcing it.

My right lower eyelid is also more dropier than my left lower eyelid.
@Amnesia your less hooded eye too seem to has a bit more rounder lower eyelid.

No I think my situation is about Supra orbital . Because my left eye’s shape is a little bit different than my right eye.

cope bro, its just orbicularis muscle. trust me, you dont have that much bone asymterry which is capable to cause hooding asymetry.

check amnesi's eyes again. His more hooded eye's medial canthus mogs the less hooded one's medial canthus.
