how can you say it won't help you in the real world?

sure, many degrees are useless, specially with today's inflation, but getting most of them is the easiest way of ensuring you can provide for yourself. and, for a solid percentage of people, getting the opportunity to do something you like. there are also additional benefits like social proof, more chances to network and socialize and, eventually, to meet women more frequently, which is not gonna happen to the average dude who takes a walk or goes to a bar here and there, realistically.

i mean, what's the alternative? spending your 20s, 30s and 40s on welfare while trying to "hack the system" by basically being a cyber gypsy and making 40-50 $ per week via dropshipping or some other similar cringe method, which is the money you could have made in a couple of hours doing a normal job?

and if someone expected they'd get a free penthouse and a harem of stacies the moment they graduate from college, the joke is on them
