the only downside of steam engines is they take upwards of 24 hours to heat up before they can actually start moving and they burn through a lot of coal the upside is that while they may not be that fast they're torque is basically infinite because when the steam goes into the Piston one of two things is going to happen either the Piston is going to move or the cylinders going to explode and they're made not to explode so steam engines can pull almost anything
