whos gonna take out ur trash? and clean ur buildings and wash the dishes at restaurants. UBI will shatter low income, manual jobs which obviously aren't occupied by attractive people.

True, imagine seeing some doctor get paid the same amount of minimal shekels as a toilet cleaner if suppose both of them either stop working or continue. You make a fair point on how someone has to do the low classed jobs for society to run.

Basically there's a thing that is called collectivism. It's where you all do a job you enjoy for however long you want.

Then the product of labor is put into a communal sotrgae where each person is free to take from will.

Basically means take as much as you want for free.

Now your argument ti's the doctors and bin men get paid the same. Technically but there isn't money theres just stuff. And also if the bin men didn't do there job the country falls to shit. Same with doctors.

They left becuase Gorbachev and JFL my family was around in the ussr and they told me that having free healthcare, free food, free housing, free university and education and a fair paying job was better than when they went to America. Also I still don't understand why ur on this forum. Its not good for you

You are correct... but my whole point & issue is focused on the equalization of jobs.

Being a doctor is clearly superior to being a bin man.
But imagine some doctor studies for 8-12 years and then works, while the bin man drops out of school and works... now imagine both of them getting equally paid 50k annually? Sound's weird doesn't it? That's the scenario I had in front for OP.

Btw, i'm not fully fond or aware about communism, socialism or collectivism... so i can't comment on it.
 
One thing , technology will replace low skilled professions , and in the very far future technology could replace even surgeons...

I see what you mean but it wouldn't happen like that. 1) you don't pay to study. So it wouldn't be a loss. 2) if you enjoy being a doctor you wouldn't mind and 3) for a functioning society you need both to do jobs. A Dr wouldnt enjoy being a binman and vice versa but they works together to make a good society

Who is gonna clean? It cleans itself. Self-cleaning toilets already exist. It's not hard to invent self-cleaning stuff that could clean buildings and houses (to a sufficient degree). Robots will be cleaning too.

Who's gonna pick up your trash, drive your taxi or whatever? Self-driving cars. Obviously some jobs are still going to require some man power, like imagine a garbage truck that picks up people's trash. Yeh it can self-drive, but it might still need human help until we have really intelligent robots.

Who's gonna serve your food at restaurants? You do it yourself, and you have robots making it, or you do it like korea, you pick up the meat and fish you want, then you fry it yourself (korean bbq style). You don't need all these people working in the restaurants and supermarkets. Robots and self-driving cars will be delivering the stuff to the stores too.

Eventually everyone will get a livable wage from universal basic income, and only the intellectuals work. How do you keep the intellectuals working? You pay the more. So there's still gonna be some motivation to get educated, but eevntually after that, those jobs will get automated too (white collar work). At that point, only the true intellectuals (phd+) and intelletual elite will be working.
 
It must be a thing or everyone will be out of jobs 30 years from now

working on what exactly. if robots can do all the basic things then all u have is consumer goods left. and people dont need phones that have x ray vision. demand will drop. and u will just have people existing
