Biology is to raise a nation's floor. One would want their nation to have the highest floor possible so that the average citizen is healthier and more productive than the average citizen of rest of the world. But to get into developed nation category, innovation is important and for innovation the ceiling is risen primarily by Chemical sciences and its family tree
