I have 3.4K USD a month on average left after taxes, rent, bills, food and all other necessaries. I live in a 4 bedroom apartment to myself in a nice place, in a nice city, close to a good international airport and good travel spots that are quick n easy to get to.

I make about 55K USD after tax, and have about 41K USD left after all the shit mentioned above. I hosted a girl over here from the UK that makes about 75K USD a year before tax and she has about 1/4 or a bit more of my disposable income after her basics, n I have a much better living condition than she does.

Conversation spurred from her asking if its okay for me to be paying for everything while she was here, n it led on to her asking how much spare cash I got each month. She was raging after I told her, she couldn't believe the difference in life quality despite the fact I earn about a 1/4-ish less than she does overall.

It feels like it from what people say but I'm chillin, putting money into stuff, travelling 5x a year with and living well with what would be considered poverty tier in many places in the west or average - slightly above average outside the big cities

I'm earning a bit less atm than my peak earnings too, working 20 - 22hrs a week. I just finished my last day tho, going back to 9-5 cuz I realised I need more work exp & qualifications in the field to not get fucked in a few yrs

well yeah china is insanely cheap compared to other places. like the median house price in my area is over 5mil USD, and all the food/groceries are pretty expensive too

also my worst nightmare is a 9-5 i will avoid that

I avoided it for 2yrs with my 2 days a week job but I had to exit that cope to not fuck myself

If i get into an ivy league college I'll just do that and make a startup. otherwise, i'll just continue with day trading since that has already been going very nice for me.
