I did those early on too. Unpaid work just build a portfolio no shame in that
Yeah, I agree. I have no other choice though, like you say it's for my future so I don't mind doing it.

Teach something more technical and mathematics related you'll make more money . You can also tutor students and create a buisness found that
I am not really technical myself. This is the only thing I see myself teaching properly. I will see how it goes! What are you doing nowadays?

Yes! We have to start student teaching in the first year. And then again in the second, third and final year. Basically, one semester each year. That means I will have two years of experience before actually being a teacher.

Yes, we do! It's mandatory here. Is your mom trying to become a professor? That's cool! Which subject? I didn't know they had to learn pedagogy as well in India. I thought it was just the western standard. Though maybe high school teachers are exempt from this over there and only professors need to know? Learning about pedagogy is necessary because it means you will be able to understand your students more from another perspective.

Good luck with it all, I'm really glad you put your mind to it and could succeed, prof. gengar (i know you won't be a professor but it sounds cool)

I hope it’s older kids, your students could be org users.
No, it won't be older students because you need a master's degree to teach older students in high school.

I have to stick to the curriculum. Teachers have to hand in lesson plans, so everything is checked by the administration before given the green light. Teachers can't do what they want.

It's just the standard, it's not necessarily about a lack of teachers haha. And thank you bhaijaan. Funny story, but my first nickname was Professor. But I'm too low IQ to be the real deal. XD

We don't have middle school. I will be a high school teacher. I guess they will either be 7th grade, 8th grade or 9th grade students. Technically, 7th grade is middle school in the US but we don't have that concept. And I don't know the exact details yet, I will go over that later with my mentor teacher.

Yeah, I overheard two guys in their 20s talking about 6-7 being picked word of the year or something. I don't think younger students would know about this stuff.

It's official, I have a placement for my internship! I just need to do some administration work but it's gonna be easy. It's mandatory to have an internship for each year, at least in Dutch universities. In the United States, they only start student teaching in the final year. I start student teaching next semester! Let's go, boys.
good luck gengar 🎉

Thank you brother, I appreciate it. We will see how it goes. Student teaching in the first year is also a trial to see if I like what I'm doing or if I should go into another direction, etc. My next big update will be next year when I'm actually student teaching. I'll share my experience here and how it went.

I honestly have no idea. Teachers don't get paid a lot but I'm doing it because it's something I see myself doing. And actually liking it.

Yes, it will be in early 2026! For now, I have to focus on my actual studies. This is a huge and important part of it as well, so I don't have to worry about getting a placement. Not getting a placement would have meant being delayed in my studies and then I'd have to wait next year to do them.

In Netherlands pay is very good.. many people told me if you don't want to go to US. I should do research work as a ML PhD scholar in Netherlands
