Update on my surgical journey(bimax plus genioplasty)

Hey guys just met with Dr Julian J Wilson in Hollywood Los angeles This is the letter he will send to my orthodontist let me know if you guys have any tips or things i should be concerned about.

Strictly speaking, the patient's primary dentofacial abnormality appears to be AP maxillary hypoplasia. At a minimum, surgical correction would likely require advancement of the maxilla relative to the mandible.
Based on my clinical examination today, however, my sense is that idealizing both function and facial aesthetics may require a more comprehensive approach.
Specifically, the surgical possibilities include:
• Maxillary advancement to address the AP maxillary deficiency (single piece).
• Possible mandibular setback if needed to optimize the skeletal and occlusal relationship.
•Possible advancement genioplasty if mandibular setback is performed and results in excessive chin deprojection. Clinically, he has excellent chin projection, and I would like to preserve that feature as much as possible.

im meeting with the orthodontist Thursday the plan is to get the surgery next summer and until then il get traditional braces. Stay tuned for the ascension
