upper palate PAIN after thumbpulling? (HELP PLEASE)

i started thumbpulling like 2 weeks ago. today the middle line in my upper palate started paining and my front 2 incisors started drifting apart. i can somehow breathe better but idk. should i stop or is the pain because of my improper form? i just finished w braces and idw my front two teeth splitting apart. my retainer also doesnt fit now its become too thin.

i didnt take before pic. and pain is just the irritating one. ive just been doing it for like 1 or 2 weeks inconsistently.

some pain is normal, take a break from it if the pain gets bad though
