Talk about how adhering to Mao Zedong Thought, socialism with Chinese characteristics, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and Xi Jinping Thought has changed your life.

It's because you're trying too hard, women aren't as complicated or as interesting as you think they are. Most women will be satisfied talking about low IQ topics so you don't have to be a very intellectual guy who reads lots of books. There are more stupid people than intelligent people, and that is true for both men and women, so don't make it harder for yourself.

And if you don't want to be a basement dweller, work on getting a career that you enjoy and then move into your own apartment.
Self improvement isn't just about looks, finances is also very important and hobbies and dating.
Ideally, you'd want to go out more but in the current pandemic situation, there aren't any events to go to, but you can use that time to better yourself instead of just consuming products. I spent the past 6 years on youtube videos, reddit, blogs, movies and tv shows, and do you know where it lead me? Absolutely nowhere. Of course, I hated every job I ever worked at and I hated school, but because I only cared about pleasure, I never achieved anything and now my life isn't much better than back in 2015, because I never worked on my dreams and just quickly gave up instead. And I am just now starting to think more about my goals and actually focus on them so that in 5 years, I will be much closer to where I want to be instead of never making any progress year after year.

What the video is saying is that life doesn't have meaning on its own, but you get to choose what your life is going to be like. You can either passively watch tv and play video games and just waste your time, or you can be more self disciplined, set goals and aim to reach them and that will give your life meaning, because otherwise, you're just a consumer, and that doesn't give any meaning to your life.

Personally, I think that the best way to give meaning to my life is to find a career that I love, lift weights 4 times per week, learn a new language, learn a new musical instrument, date many women, and go out to fun events or to the bar with friends, and once in a while, to watch some movies and play some video games. It is by doing productive things that you enjoy and being self sufficient that you can make your life much more enjoyable than if you're just a NEET who lives with his parents and doesn't contribute anything meaningful to society. And the value of learning a new skill is that you could make money from it by teaching it when you get really good at it or by selling something based on that skill, but if you simply consume the work of other people, then you can never make any money from it so you are giving your time and your money (your 2 most precious commodities) in exchange for nothing of value.

The most difficult part of this process is changing your habits to stop being just a consumer and become someone who is more productive, but I believe it can be done by taking small steps each day. It is better to practice learning a new skill for very little time but every day than to do it for as much time as possible only for a week. Habits are formed in around 2 months and then, you become so used to it that it requires no conscious effort to remember to do it. And your goals should be specific to you so that you care enough about them to achieve them.

Most people don't even do this. Most people just go to work 40 hours per week and waste their free time watching TV and they exercise very little and they don't do anything productive.
