TARIFF EXEMPTIONS

Understandable since you cant find other manufacturers apart from them.
Good decision otherwise they would have imploded the economy. Smart decisions should be welcome from this administration.

No, it's all part of "the plan" we keep hearing about.

They cant make factories in the blink of an eye and no one competes with China in manufacturing these things at a good pricing so at least the administration made the right choice. But the Trump supporters will forget that they supported going full throttle on China just a day ago

The USA heavily depends on Chinese manufactering.

Cutting off those imports would lead to worsened inflation.

Yeah now they should have this earlier though. Correcting now means that Trump talked shit and did atupid things without think8ng them through. Now Xi can point at this and say "Look they dpnt know what they are doing" to his citizens

More like a small chocolate. The win will be seen in the future. Both countries are struggling with some key things. China with deflation that doesnt stop. USA with leadership that doesnt understand economics

Apple Airlifted Iphones from India to dodge tariffs
Yeah they made a good decision to divest into India early. But I think the technocrats pressurised Trump because India cant really replace China yet. The Chinese have a lot to offer in terms of manufacturing that India doesnt have infrastructure for

Trump's trade policy was inherently inflationary.
He somehow won on the back out of an anti inflation campaign by advocating an inflationary policy.

Inflation should be controlled really. He just pulled the wool in front of the eyes of his base. I mean how does the price of eggs reduce unless you advocate for either deflation or higher wage growth ? And he definitely didn't say anything say anything about his policies targeting wage growth

It's showing a lack of thought tbh

Makes it seem short sighted and foolish, the trump admin

A reactive decision they hadn't considered

Buddy !! The equation is simple. We are "small government" party so we cant spend shit to set up infrastructure. But we also like isolationism so we would rather incur the costs than spend money to build useful shit. They are doing the final steps before the doing the first step

Blanket tariffs were always a terrible idea. They should have been targeted from the very beginning.
I thought this when the "reciprocal" tariffs were first announced.

I will keep you updated on what r/conservative thinks. They are already confused on what Master wants. Does he want us to praise his all in approach ? Or does he want us to say that everyone knew the concessions were coming ? Man how dumb. And Democrats still aren't saying anything significant. :feelswhy::feelswhy:

Only the stock market ? USA allies dumped US bonds brah. Its mayhem right now. Trump should have thought about his own allies who kiss his ass would make the bonds bleed. Now the bond yield has risen above 5% I think which is pointing towards a bad time.

Unexpected, very unexpected from someone who talks big. I think a deal is very likely soon.
