does this mean there is very little difference between white American and European height? Almost 5'11 for Gen Xers is pretty high, only 1 inch below the Netherlands. Why do people think of Americans as manlets for whites or Western Europeans as tall if they're so close?
It also makes me wonder why historically 6'0 was considered such a good height in the US if it's only 1-2 inches above average for whites, even decades ago.
