Many users don't like PSL or IRL, and disagreements about them are common. We can take the most active raters on the rating thread and have them work together on a new system, one that would be detailed, unique to this forum, and amendable if disagreements arise.
My inspiration was this scale (ignore the audience laughing) which seems to take into account more factors than we currently do, and has a mathematical (aka not entirely subjective) nature to it.
