Most humans want to have kids to leave something behind in the world, kids will survive all other achievements (career, hobbys, friends, etc.) and can carry your legacy for centuries.

Users who don't want kids: What do you want to do to find fulfillment when you are 80 and look back at your life? Do you have any big life goals or a purpose?

a good start is not falling for the blue pilled dellusion that there is such a thing as fulfillment in life. It's in the next life after you accept Jesus as your Savior

But serving God in whatever talents he gave you and skills you have learned is one way

true that only really exists when you're a kid

I stopped believing in Jesus when I was 13 or so.

I guess that means you want to work from home and slay until 70, as these are your biggest skills.

Cross worshippers will never cease to amaze me.
They can genuinely belive they are worthy of anything when they do everthing that oppose their own - altered - faith, opposing even what Jesus is said to have said according to them.
Similarly to all those porn actress who wear a cross.

I don't think you're a loser, I'm genuinely wondering what can make someone feel fulfilled at old age. You will die and that's it. If you don't have kids, you will most likely leave nothing behind, that sounds scary ngl.

I agree with this, you can never be completely happy. But I'd be pretty happy if I can have a son or two I can raise to become good men in society and leave my genes behind. Also i've always wanted kids, i dont give a fuck if the bitch im with leaves or something if i can get kids out of it it'll be worth it.

Most people that don’t want kids are either mentally ill, ugly or both. The people here that don’t want kids will want them eventually when they grow up/will regret not having them.

Would you want kids as a single dad? Like, using a surrogate mother and raising them alone from birth to teen years?

Yeah, true, many will change their mind. There are users who are 15, 20, 25 and think are sure they will never want kids, but they don't know how they will think about it in their 30s or 40s.

I would prefer not too. i would want a wife who will stay loyal. thats all i ask for, no stacy either, as long as i find her attractive thats all that matters and for sure not a fatass. if it came to it and she became a whore i would ditch her and raise the kids myself i dont give a fuck.

There is no such thing as "fulfillment" or whatever mystical mumbo jumbo. Humans or homo sapiens are literally just another animal species apart of the biomes of this planet, just like I don't know, a squirrel :lul:. And as another species of this planet our main biological mission in life, is the same as any other species, to reproduce when we are fertile enough to do so, and then die. That's literally it. Whatever you do in the meantime while trying to accomplish this mission, is entirely up to you. But remember, no matter what you do in your life, if you fail to reproduce, you have not only failed nature, you ARE a failure of nature. That's why everything, literally everything else, is quite literally, cope.

Me, I'm conflicted. It would be for the overall betterment of human kind if I didn't reproduce and pass on my genes, but at the same time, lmao FUCK humans. No other species on this planet has made my life more of a living hell than humans, why should I do anything, for their betterment? On the contrary, if I had any sense of self respect or self dignity, I'd reproduce just to spite humanity.

You could see it that way. But I don't see it that way, these things, humans and life in general, can have deeper meaning.

Humans are not squirrels, we have the ability to think in abstract terms. And reproducing can be a wonderful thing, a familiy can be (theoretically) an awesome experience.

And apart from reproducing, many people found fulfillment without kids, many scientists left behind their discoveries, others found fulfillment through intellectual or artistic achievements who made them immortal. But what do users who are against kids want to do be happy about their lifes when it ends?

Nothing between birth and death matters. You can leave 100 kids behind, scientific discoveries, or just die alone and you still have the exact same end result.

i'm an anti-natalist but my parents are 100% the opposite since they're religious (and quite rich) and they expect me to carry their legacy with having kids and all. i have no choice tbh but if it were up to me i wouldn't breed. i'm a nihilst in every sense of the word and see no meaning in this life when earth won't even habitable 1 billion years from now. life is pointless and death is promised for everyone, i don't wanna subject this brutal realization on anyone before me, but then again my parents are religious and i'd literally be disowned if i don't follow their wishes:ogre:

No, some people are clearly happy with their life achievements and others rope at middle age because they regret their decisions.

But you lived, that's the point. Making memories and be happy about them at the end. That's the meaning, and it's wonderful (if you lived a good life that is).

don't get me wrong i very much enjoy life and would live forever if i could but that won't happen and it weighs heavily on me. my existence is meaningless the way i see it if it all comes to an end someday, it might be hard for u to see the perspective i'm coming from but eternal unconsciousness is very scary and i wouldn't wish that realization on anyone

Yeah man, for all of Nikola tesla great works, which I'm sure he was proud about. I'm still pretty sure my nigga was mad about dying a virgin lmfao. It's only natural.

Eternal uncosciousness is very scary for me too and I would want to live forever if I could.

But I think life can have meaning even if you die. What you leave behind is the meaning.

Thats like the meaning of life. To reproduce and leave something behind you for your kids. everything else is just a bonus.

I just don't want a daughter.
