I chose daughter because I know it's possible to raise her right, and if so, she's pretty much guaranteed to end up in a happy marriage and give me grandkids. Under ideal conditions I'd rather have a son, but it's just too risky with the dating market getting increasingly hypergamous. I definitely would rather have a daughter than an incel son.

Everyone choosing son should look at what's happening in China. They had a one child policy for 35 years and most families wanted to have a son because "He carries the name of the family". So despite it being illegal, a lot of parents got x-rays to find out the gender and aborted female babies because they wanted their one kid to be a son. The result of that? A fucked up gender ratio with 30 million chinese men with no chance of ever finding a woman. It's fucking over for them.

Ironically the same parents who were so determined to pass on their last name, now won't even get to pass on their blood. Their son is just an unhappy genetic dead end. Meanwhile chinese women can have their pick of men in a very competitive environment who are striving to be the best options possible. It's rigged. Even without the one child policy, the extreme levels of hypergamy and anti-male bias in the west is creating a similar environment, unfit for raising sons happily.

I always wanted to have a son, teaching him how to walk, talk and play football with him, seeing him grow up, that would be so cute, i know i would be a good father, no matter if he would be successful or a total loser, i wouldn’t matter to me, but also i am afraid that my son would be an asshole to me like i was to my parents when I was young, so i would prefer not to have any children at all, because I fear that god would punish me for being a bad son by giving me a bad son.
