Using buccal fat for facial fat graft. Move to malar/under eye area.

I’m doing this. Wondering if anyone’s got it done. Or facial fat grafting in general (although I would prob never use lipo fat in the face cuz it’ll just move or dissipate)

I’d agree but if undergoing buccal fat removal anyway might as well use it and see how that looks b4 committing to implants

buccal fat is really solid like the stuff that you chew on and then spit out when eating bacon. you're probably not gonna get that grafted anywhere.

What you’re thinking of is coocked bacon tho lol that’s a wildly wrong statement. If you’ve ever seen real raw fat of any animal or even just photos of buccal fat you can see it’s like jell-o consistency. The fact that it stays together like that actually makes it more similar to the effect of an implant. Lipo fat is almost liquid, and just spreads and moved around. Buccal fat is still soft but has staying power, and also doesn’t go away much with loss of weight from dieting (which could eliminate traditional fat grafts completely).

Most importantly tho is that it is implanted deep, below tons of soft tissue, right on top of bone, just like an implant. Since it’s soft, not much chance of any visible harsh irregularities. Just overall more volume.

In fact, 100% contrary to what u said, most surgeons would prefer to use buccal fat instead of fat lipo’d from somewhere else. It’s just a superior option, but most of the ppl who get facial fat grafting r not ones to want to remove the buccal fat pads so unfortunately they can’t use it.

LOL then they're taking you as a fool because they don't think you actually would know what is possible. Every surgeon I've talked to says its the best fat source for facial fat transfer. Maybe go to another surgeon.
