Usually collapse with expansion?

Expansion is one of the easiest ways to Luxe max. However it collapses quite frequently why is this so because palatal expander’s should be maintained with the expansion is it because of lack of chewing or lower jaw movement?

Assuming it was maintained for the nessasary period of time post -expansion. (You need to leave the expander in for a few months post). Then it’s unitonicaly due to lack of mewing.
