I feel they could mitigate some of this by maybe reducing the price of the console itself and raise the prices of individual games that is what consoles do usually. I think it is a better approach but valve is also mainly a hardware company so it's tough to pull it off

Ah yes, Valve, my favorite hardware comp. Forget the multi-billion dollar digital storefront they run, they clearly rely on Steam Deck margins to keep the lights on. Truly a tragic indie studio struggle
