Eating meat doesn't abuse animals though, the modern farming industry that treats them in inhumane conditions does. That's why you should always buy from local organic farms, butchers, etc.

Also, the funny thing eating a plant based diet ends up harming just as many if not even more animals than a meat based one in the end...
