Ventrogluteal Fail (help)

I tried pinning (1 1/2"), after i got about an inch in I felt a very hard stop and tried forcing it in. painful asf and did not work

I'm limping around today and will try using my left hip instead.

Does anyone have any tips on how to self find the Ventrogluteal/Hip injection site
