Hello everyone
This is my first thread, and its basically an outline of a procedure I will be doing to eliminate acne scarring.
Additionally, I will be making two other threads talking about TCA cross and PN serums for acne scars, so stay tuned for that.
For context, I'm currently 16 at 5'11 and 175lbs. I started getting severe acne this year and it left me with scarring that's visible, but not entirely disfiguring. I still have acne, but its far milder and more tame than how it was prior to it getting worse, I'll be making a thread on what I did to cure it (which I will soon).
Around a modest 40-55% of this since I cant find accurate pictures. ------> View attachment 4229708

RF Micro needling utilizing Verteporfin
I don't believe I have to explain what microneedling is at all. If you are on this forum and truly have no idea what it is, kindly kill yourself. Thanks.
Verteprofin is a new and upcoming drug used to treat damaged blood vessels in the eye. In clinical trials, this drug was used on wounded rats to regenerate their skin. After a 12 week follow up, it was noted that wounds treated with Verteprofin regenerated with ZERO scar tissue, ZERO.
Verteporfin works to prevent scar tissue by inhibiting the Yes-Associated Protein (YAP) pathway, which is activated by mechanical stress during wound healing. By blocking this pathway, verteporfin stops fibroblasts from converting into the pro-scarring cells and instead promotes the regeneration of healthy, functional tissue with a normal skin architecture, including the regrowth of elements like hair follicles and glands.
How it works
How it works
- Blocks mechanical signaling:
Wound healing is a process where cells respond to mechanical forces. During scarring, fibroblasts are activated by this mechanical stress to lay down large amounts of collagen, resulting in a dense, fibrous scar.
- Inhibits YAP:
Verteporfin is a YAP inhibitor that blocks mechanotransduction, or the process of sensing mechanical force, in fibroblasts.
- Promotes regeneration:
By preventing YAP from being activated, verteporfin stops the fibroblasts from transforming into their scar-forming state and directs the healing process toward regeneration instead of fibrosis.
- Restores healthy tissue:
This results in scarless healing, with the regeneration of normal skin structures like hair follicles and sweat glands, and a return of the skin's original mechanical strength and extracellular matrix architecture.
This could have significant implications for the treatment of acne scars. The regeneration of skin appendages is particularly relevant in the treatment of acne scars, as these are often characterized by the loss of skin structure and texture. The ability of Verteporfin to not only smooth the surface of the skin but also regenerate the deeper structures could represent a significant advance in the treatment of acne scars.
However, it is important to consider the current state of research. Many of the studies, especially those with impressive results, have so far mainly been carried out on animals. The translation of these results to human skin, especially in the context of specific applications such as acne scar treatment, requires further in-depth research and clinical testing.
(Incredibly groundbreaking shit you niggas don't understand, like this shit REGENERATES HAIR FOLLICLES FROM SCAR TISSUE????? WTF)
Anywho, the plan is to do deep, intensive microneedling sessions (1.5-2.5 mm) to trigger collagen restoration deep within the dermis then apply verteporfin topically alongside tretinoin.
In theory this could trigger the collagen restoration process of the dermis to replace the scar tissue with healthy, fresh, raw skin that has both active sweat glands and hair follicles.(although this theory is complete psuedoscience, and the detailed explanation would be far more robust)
There are anecdotes of professional dermatology clinics and reddit users testing this on their patients ( Dr Qazi dermatology center)
Acne scars are a death sentence, and I will change that.
