I would preffer a one handed weapon like a blackjack.

You have the other hand to defend yourself, its much harder for it to be grabbed and taken away it can be concealed and used in cramped spaces.

If you are in a car you don't need a big bat tho. Just lock the fucking doors and do not exit the car, try to get away and remember the car can be a weapon too. If you are getting dragged out it is much easier to keep a small blackjack at hand and reach for it than it is for a big bat. Once you are dragged out you can surprise the draggers with splitting their skull with a pound of soild lead.
