Yes, the presentation not the gameplay. Madden is extremely glitchy, Fifa is scripted and Nba2k has animation abuse. None of the games are fluid.

2k can be realistic if played properly but Nobody ever does . Everyone abuses animations like you said because your never gonna win playing Realsticly

at the end of the day every game that chases hyperrealism will stab themselves in the back as they become indistinguishable from the many other games that are trying to reach the same goal
graphics will age, but art direction and level design are timeless
