What do you guys think about video games?
i’m curious how you guys view gaming in general
Do you see video games as a waste of time after a certain age? like once you’re 21+, is grinding competitive ranks in games like Valorant, League, CS2, etc just pointless?
Do you think gaming is a time waste across every stage of life, even as a teenager from like 15-18? or do you think there’s actually something valuable you can learn from it?
also, do you think it’s cope when people quit competitive games and switch to single-player games, saying they “just enjoy the graphics and storytelling,” but then still spend hours and hours grinding missions?
imo when you really think about it, you’re putting effort into a rank, basically pixels on a screen, that resets or expires after 30 days / a few months. and the skill you practiced gets rusty too, so eventually you have to warm up your aim, macro, mechanics, or whatever your game requires all over again
curious to hear your takes on this
