Long time ago humans used to eat a fiber-rich diet, which fermented in the stomach to various short-chain fatty acids. Today, short-chain fatty acids are all the fire in the world of gut health. They are implicated in weight-gain, immune response, inflammation, etc...
Well, there's actually one beverage which has been consumed for thousands of years which is actually a short-chain fatty acid itself:
Acetic Acid aka Vinegar. Let's see what only 30ml of daily vinegar does:
Even though food intake and daily exercise remained fairly constant:
A moderate decrease in body-weight and body-fat%:
Massive changes happened to some blood values:
Triglyceride fell by 27% from only 30ml of vinegar daily.
Fat content significantly decreased, showing preferance for VFA over SFA loss:
Triglyceride levels and VFA is highly associated with metabolic syndrome, which is associated with facial fat(showing others you are basically unfit as a mate):
One more study showing the strong leanmaxxing effects of vinegar:
TG fell by 25%! In control group that was losing weight as well it actually increased!
Visceral fat decreased in vinegar group, while it increased in the control group. Both groups were put on a diet! This further shows the correlation between TG in blood and visceral fat:

Vinegar intake reduces body weight, body fat mass, and serum triglyceride levels in obese Japanese subjects - PubMed
Acetic acid (AcOH), a main component of vinegar, recently was found to suppress body fat accumulation in animal studies. Hence we investigated the effects of vinegar intake on the reduction of body fat mass in obese Japanese in a double-blind trial. The subjects were randomly assigned to three...

Facial fat and its relationship to abdominal fat: a marker for insulin resistance? - PubMed
Reports of relationships between measures of insulin sensitivity and measures of body fat and fat distribution suggest that abdominal fat accumulation is a predictor of insulin resistance. It has been previously suggested that facial fat (primarily in the cheeks and neck) is strongly associated...

Predicting visceral obesity based on facial characteristics - BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies
Background Visceral obesity is associated with facial characteristics and chronic disease, but no studies on the best predictor of visceral obesity based on facial characteristics have been reported. The aims of the present study were to investigate the association of visceral obesity with...

Serum Triglyceride Levels Independently Contribute to the Estimation of Visceral Fat Amount Among Nondiabetic Obese Adults
Determining the visceral fat amount is important in the risk stratification for the prevention of type 2 diabetes and obesity-related disorders. The area-based measurement of visceral fat area (VFA) via magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an accurate ...
