I had a wannabe nigger phase in highschool but idk my dad is white so maybe part of the reason I align more towards whiteness because the main authority figure in my life growing up was a white man. I went to an elementary school run by white people even though the student body was majority ethnic minorities so a lot of my authority figures in my formative years were also white people. I'm pretty ND which means interacting with black people can be annoying because they are a giga NT race. Also my IQ is tested in at least the top 10th percentile which means I would have a considerable IQ gap on the average African American. I'm very empathetic and emotionally sensitive and high trust in my interactions which is not common in the black community, especially not the urban black community.

I believe a lot of these factors contribute to aligning more with a white rather than black identity, even though in reality I'm neither.

Edit: My mom also went to a majority white college and had a lucrative career in a higher income bracket so a lot of her social relationships and the people we would spend time with were white people. Ironically I think my IQ came from my black mother's side of the family rather than my white father's side because my mom's side of the family is more accomplished on average than my father's side.
