do I step up to 0.05%? the firdt month i couldn't see nuch results. my dad has had multiple arguments with me about tretinoin but I'm going to college soon so I can hide it if i have to. would it help or worsen my acne cause I have scars, bumps, darkspots, pimples, white spots, etc etc you know it

I actually started out with .1% but I used a tiny amount at first and diluted it with moisturizer. Then I gradually built it up over the last couple weeks and now I'm like 1/2 to 2/3 of a pea size. I haven't had any adverse effects except some peeling and dryness occasionally but it's vastly better than I was expecting. My skin is much smoother and even and some of my hyperpigmentation has faded. I've only been on for about a month so I don't know if I'll purge or not.
But be careful when you start bc it'll js make it worse if you overdo it or have sensitive skin. I would definitely step it up if I were u bc I don't even think .05% is gonna do much for u if it really is as bad as you say it is. Make sure to get spf though and use it in the morning before going outside.
