I have some vitiligo (lighter skin) around lips. When i used selftanner it doesnt really work there which is annoying af. it makes the contrast with the rest of my face more pronounced. So i dont really use tanners anymore but i feel like it would boost me so i wanna try again.
i usually use some light bronzer around lips but anyone have any advice?
i read up on it and it says:
”Self-tanning products work by reacting with the dead layer of top skin. It really doesn’t matter that there is no pigment in the skin, which is the case with lighter patches of vitiligo. The self-tanning product does not need melanin to produce the bronze tan color so the lack of it won’t hinder the tan from setting on the skin.”
yet it doesnt work for me ffs. This is my natural color and you see the area around lips is lighter:
