Walking, good or cope ?

Hi guys, so I've seen people on tiktok say if you can't do any sports, walking a good 10k/20k steps is good for you (especially if its to control body weight)
Is this really good or just cope ?

not cope; by walking you use your fat stores (instead of glycogen stores which is used in sprinting). I personally have done it myself and lost 8KG walking for miles all summer (7 weeks)
