My issue with it isn't really the dedication, though; it's just the fact that it's retarded, and they're usually extremely arrogant about it, speaking as if they've found the absolute truth. They don't even have any scientific backing, and every time they argue, it's extremely reductionistic. I find it all very hive-minded. They claim that they're the ones thinking freely, but as you mentioned, they get all their "knowledge" from some random guru. There's this quote by Mark Twain: "It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled", which I really think applies to them.
