I’m 22f, he’s 27m

Brief: My bf and I broke up because of military reasons, he wanted to have sex and I didn’t, we got back together later.

The moment I’m referring to specifically is when he came into my room and started wanting to have sex. I told him no over and over and then thinking that he wanted an explanation said “I want to, but we can’t because we’re broken up” and then continued to say no. However, he was relentless. It was like 45 min of me fighting both physically and verbally. I could t get off the bed because he was holding me down and is much stronger. Eventually I just gave in because I was so tired and couldn’t think of anything else left to do to make it stop.

I told him it upset me afterwards and explained why. He said he never wanted to break up with me and just wants to be with me etc etc

After bringing this up to not only him but a mutual friend several times he finally seems to get that what happened was not okay. Nowadays he asks if I want to have sex and if I’m okay but it’s always after he already has his clothes off... He did listen when I said no a couple times but that moment still haunts me. It makes me freak out whenever he tickles me playfully while holding me down and doesn’t stop when I say stop.

How do I deal with this? Was it rape? He says it wasn’t and even I agree to him that it wasn’t in conversations because I know he wouldn’t react well. How can I accuse him of being a rapist??? But deep down I feel like it was but I also can’t believe he would do something like that.... This happened months ago and is still affecting me.
