Was it just me who found watching dantdm and other youtubers really boring as a kid?

Idk why everyone says they used to love watching various youtubers/influencers or say that they were part of their childhood. I just never used to get the appeal of watching a grown man do a dull, childish monologue whilst playing a pointless game. But this might be because I was lucky enough to be raised in a countryside and surrounded by nature which I preferred to spend my time in and around.
